FAQ
If you don't see an answer to your question, please contact us at concierge@exis.life.
Where are you located?
Exis therapists travel to residents, offices, and clubs anywhere in Manhattan.
What type of massage do you offer?
We offer sports, therapeutic, TMJ, Medical, Prenatal, Muscle Scraping (IASTM), and Cupping. Your session may be a combination of these therapies based upon need.
Are the massage therapists certified?
Yes, all massage therapists are LMT along with a minimum of 3 years experience.
Do you bring the table?
Yes, we can provide a table for an additional $50 fee.
Do I have to leave a tip?
Tips are given at your discretion.
Should I leave my clothes on or get fully undressed?
A licensed massage therapist will always practice industry guideline draping techniques. Draping is where the massage therapist folds and tucks the towel or sheet around your body, only exposing the areas to be worked on. Many regular clients prefer to be fully undressed with draping. If you feel more comfortable leaving your loose-fitting underwear on, that is totally fine — and you will still be draped. To access certain areas such as the back or glutes, removing your bra strap and/or removing undergarments (with draping) will help the massage therapist work these muscles at a greater depth.
During a sports recovery massage where the goal isn’t necessarily to put you into a tranquil state, we highly recommend our client’s to be in sports attire. For women, a sports bra with minimal coverage of the back is recommended with biker shorts. For men, shorts are recommended with the option to be in a tank top or being shirtless.
Can I extend a session?
Yes, as long as the therapist has availability the time extension will be charged at the hourly rate of your original session.
Can we measure my flexibility progress?
Yes, we utilize a measurement tool that calculates the angles of key stretch positions over time.
